Jonathon Bensley-Byham
PROJECT DIRECTOR
Jonathon established Architecture ONE in 2015 after working in professional practices in London, Sydney, Dubai and Doha.
The concept behind Architecture ONE was to provide people with a professional service that would encompass all aspects of architecture and planning.
Under the direction of Jonathon and Tenille, the company quickly gained recognition in 2015 as an architectural practice capable of designing, obtaining planning permission, and overseeing construction on site with a focus on customer satisfaction.
When not in the office, Jonathon enjoys pringles, DIY and has a passion for classic cars.
Tenille Bensley-Byham
PRACTICE MANAGER
Tenille is a partner at Architecture ONE and played a key role in setting up the Architecture Studio in 2015. She leverages her extensive business experience and meticulous attention to detail in both the architecture and business sectors.
In her free time, Tenille enjoys escaping into a good book, trying new nutritious recipes her children wont eat, and travelling (though not in classic cars).
Christopher Lansbury
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Christopher joined Architecture ONE in early 2018 and brought with him an exceptional and sustained record of achievement in developing relationships within multiple companies. He is firmly focused on developing Architecture ONE and its various avenues of business opportunities.
In addition to Architecture ONE, Christopher is involved in a vintage and classic car business, a passion he loves to chat with Jonathon about. We try to keep them separated.
Luke Morris
BARN CONVERSION / SELF BUILD CONSULTANT
Luke first worked alongside the Architecture ONE team, as a client, on his own Class Q barn conversion. Together our efforts lead this project to win the Local Authority Building Control national award for best Conversion to a Residential Dwelling in 2023.
With new growing demand for conversion projects, Architecture ONE engaged Luke to support the niche requirements around legislation, ecology, surveys and biodiversity requirements.
Luke's background in Product Design, CAD and Enterprise Project Management also help make him a valuable member of the extended Architecture ONE team.
When Luke's not spinning plates, his other hobbies include landscaping, diy and making cool stuff on the internet.
Jessica Wigley
PART 1 ARCHITECTURAL ASSISTANT
Jess became part of the Architecture ONE team in April 2024 after completing her bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the University of Hertfordshire.
Before attending University, Jess traveled through parts of Australia, Asia, and New Zealand. Jess primarily works in supporting our project director in the production of documentation on AutoCAD and SketchUp for planning, tender, and Building Control submissions. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her friends.
Alison Meadows
ARCHITECTURAL TECHNICIAN
Alison joined Architecture ONE in November 2023, after completing her HND in Architectural Technology as a student at City of Glasgow College. She is looking to resume her studies in September 2024. We are delighted to have her on board, assisting with our design documentation.
OUR APPROACH
The Architecture ONE approach to design is always based on the client’s requirements, and we strive to provide the best possible solution to the brief. We always emphasise communication and involve the client at every step of the process to ensure all avenues are explored and key issues are addressed. We always ensure that those involved in a project are kept abreast of the developments. Each job is assigned a single point of contact, or Project Lead.
The assigned project lead will support you throughout the duration of the project, starting with the initial sketches to the completion of the scheme. This arrangement guarantees a consistent level of service and a deep understanding of the development process. Additionally, all projects are closely monitored and supervised by the practice manager, who is responsible for regularly reviewing project progress to ensure alignment with the client's requirements. This oversight occurs at every stage of the project, from conception to finalisation, and includes ongoing meetings with clients as needed. With the backing of a skilled team, Architecture ONE is well-equipped to provide high-quality service in any setting.
OUR EXPERIENCE
Architecture ONE has the capability to deliver architectural projects from start to finish across various sectors. While we are not limited to this, our expertise lies in planning and building control for residential buildings, which includes loft conversions and garage adaptations. We manage all aspects of the process, from hiring engineers to working with reputable building contractors whom we have established strong partnerships with. This allows our design team to efficiently determine the main requirements of a brief and provide a customised solution that surpasses our clients' expectations.
